Dear Ms. Wright:
I attach for your kind consideration an application to export uranium as uranium hexafluoride (UF6) to Korea for use in commercial Korean reactors. Specifically, the UF6 will be used as enriched reload fuel in the Young Kwang Nuclear Power Facilities, Units 1,2,3 and 4; and Kori Nuclear Power Facilities, Units 1,2,3 and 4. These facilities are owned by Korea Electric Power Corp. In addition, some natural UF6 will be used as axial blanket materials in these same reactors.
This is a time sensitive project and EIC would appreciate any prompt action you are able to take. Please find enclosed the application fee of $2,900.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any additional information in connection with this request.
