Dear Ms. Garde:

In accordance with our conversation yesterday, because of the unavailability of ?!r. Shao due to a family emergency, the meeting with him and Mr. Bangart to complete CASE's informal discovery regarding the TRT SSERs, scheduled for April 17, 1986, has been cancelled. Although the Staff had offered to proceed with Mr. Bangart alone on the miscellaneous issues or with Mr. Bangart and other TRT members on the same subjects as would be covered if Mr. Shao were available, CASE noted its preference to reschedule the meeting for a time when Mr. Shao could participate and when both subjects Could be addressed at the same meeting. The Staff has agreed to reschedule the meeting to accommodate CASE's preference and will inform you of the earliest time that such meeting can be scheduled following the upcoming prehearing conference on April 22, 1986.

As we further discussed, the subjects of the informal meeting were incorrectly identified both in your January 31, 1986 letter and in my letter of March 27, 1986. The correct subjects , that is, matters not previously covered at the meeting with the TRT held on November 19 and 20,1985, are miscellaneous issues and civil / structural issues, both of which are addressed in SSER 8. The Staff will be prepared to proceed on these issues at - :h time as the meeting can be rescheduled.
