Dear Mr. Londo:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) would like to meet with Monroe County citizens and representatives from the Detroit Edison Company to discuss the status of the Enrico Fermi Atomic Power Plant, Unit 1, and future decommissioning plans for that facility. We would like to have this meeting on the evening of April 22,1998. Mrs. Lynn Goodman, Director of Fermi 1, indicated that the County of Monroe has made its facilities available for NRC public meetings when these meetings were of interest to its citizens.
- Therefore, I am requesting the County of Monroe to allow NRC to hold a public meeting in the Commission Meeting Room, County Court House, from 6:00 to 11:15 p.m. on April 22,1998. If you have any questions, please contact me at 301-415-6605. Thank you for your consideration of this request.
