10.1.2 OITsite emergency response personnel such as fire fighting will be given a briefing of the

TO:

10.1.2 Offsite emerger.cy response personnel such as fire fighting will be given a briefing of the reactor facility annually not to exceed 15 me'iths.

Justification: This allows more leeway time to schedule tra...ing sessions with outside agencies.

This matter was brought before members of the Reactor Safeguards Committee for review to insure that the change would not decrease the effectiveness of the plan as specified in 10CFR50.54q. As a result, the above mentioned section was changed on January 27.1998. l.'
