SUBJ: Emergency Plan for the Omaha Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, A. J.
Bloteky Reactor Facility. License R-:57-Docket No. 50-131 The following section of the facility Emergency Plan has been changed:
FROM:
10.1.2 OITsite emergency response personnel such as fire fighting will be given a briefing of the reactor facility year!y.
TO:
10.1.2 Offsite emerger.cy response personnel such as fire fighting will be given a briefing of the reactor facility annually not to exceed 15 me'iths.
Justification: This allows more leeway time to schedule tra...ing sessions with outside agencies.
This matter was brought before members of the Reactor Safeguards Committee for review to insure that the change would not decrease the effectiveness of the plan as specified in 10CFR50.54q. As a result, the above mentioned section was changed on January 27.1998.
