The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued Amendment No. 11 to Facility License No. NS-1 for the N.S. Savannah in response to the application for renewal dated August 20, 1985. This amendment renews the license to possess but not operate the reactor facility (possession-only) for ten years from its date of issuance.
In accordance with our practice upon the renewal of a license, we have restated the license in its entirety, incorporating all the changes and amerdments made since the issuance of the original possession-only license.
Enclosed with the amended license is a copy of the Notice of Renewal that is being sent to the Federal Register for publication, the Environmental Assessment and the Safety Evaluation associated with the renewal.
