We would expect to begin this exchange on a limited basis and only on those document types where Agency and Industry guidance has been developed. Guidance is presently being developed by the Nuclear Information and Records Management Association's (NIRM A's) Electronic Information Exchange (EIE) Taskforce and by Science Applications International Corporation's (SAIC's) Distributed Object Computational Testbed (DOCT) project, also called the Digital Govemment project.

The NIRMA ele Taskforce is comprised cf people frem throughout the nuclear energy sector, including many personnel from within the NRC. As a result of past efforts, several document types are now well enough defined to begin electronic exchanges.13altimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) intends to continue to work with the NIRMA ele Taskforce and the SAIC Digital Government project, and we invite continued involvement from NRC personnel. The intent of our future efforts is to further develop interchange standards for additional document types. Both the NIRMA Taskforce and the Regulatory Compliance and Technology Group, with a combined repre_ wation of over 23 utilities, support this effort.
