SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-483/99-301
L Dear Mr. Randolph:
From January 11-15,1999, an operator licensing certification inspection was conducted at your
- Callaway Plant reactor facility. The enclosed report presents the scope and results of that
inspection.
The inspection included an evaluation of five applicants for senior operator licenses and six
applicants for reactor operator licenses. We determined that all five senior operator and five of
the six reactor operator applicants satisfied the requirements of 10 CFR Part 55, and the
appropriate licenses have been issued. It is noteworthy that by developing an innovative
examination schedule you were able to prepare a high quality examination utilizing only one set
of examination materials, which minimized both licensee and NRC resource requirements.
in accordance with _10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
