Per our telecon today, attached are four pages from the Safety Manual we discussed which show that industrial Hygiene training on hazardous cheinicals, including gases, is routinely given to personnet who work with them, in addition to this general training, the IH people review areas where hazardous chemicats are used for the purpose of confirming safety arid determining what kind of protective owquipment, clothing, etc, are needed.

1.0 PURPOSE This program will ensure that all Siemens Power Corporation-Nuclear Division (S employees understand the hazards presented by chemicals in the work place (as r WAC 296-62-054), and understand SPC-ND's management system for dangerous wast

and control. This program will also ensure that SPC-ND customers are fumished with the appropriate hazard wamings when a hazardous chemicalis transported oft site WAC 296-62 05409).
2.0 SCOPE All sections 01 this procedure combined represent SPC-ND's written hazard communication program. Introductory information on SPC's dangerous waste managemen program is included in this program to cover requirements of SPC-ND's darigerous w management training plan EMF 94 228.
