The State of New Hampshire and Attorney General Stephen E. Merrill on March 19, 1986 petitioned under the provisions of 10 CFR 9 2.715(c) to participate as an Interested State with respect to contentions filed by various parties on the New Hampshire Radiological Emergency Response Plan.

The NRC Staff response dated April 7,1986 does not oppose the aforementioned petition.

The Board has considered the petition and the NRC response and finds the State's interests, as reflected in its petition, and grants the State of New Hampshire status to participate as an Interested State on contentions relating to the New Hampshire Radiological Emergency '

Response Plan.
