ORDER APPROVING TRANSFER OF LICENSE NO. NPF-47 f0R RIVER BEND STATION, UNIT NO. 1 (TAC NO. M99776)
Dear Mr. Acker and Ms. Murphy:
The enclosed Order is in response to the application dated October 15, 1997, by Ralph R. Mabey Trustee for Cajun Electric Power Cooperative, Inc., (Cajun) recuesting approval, pursuant to Section 50.80 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Reaulations, of the transfer of the license for the River Bend Station, Unit No.1 (RBS), to the extent it is held by Cajun in connection with Cajun's 30-percent ownership share of RBS, to Entergy Gulf States, Inc.
(EGSI).
EGSI currently owns 70-percent of RBS. Upon completion of the transfer, EGSI will become sole owner of RBS.
The Commission has concluded that EGS! is qualified to be the sole holder of the license and that the transfer is otherwise consistent with applicable provisions of law, regulations, and orders issued by the Commission pursuant thereto. The Order is being forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
The Safety Evaluation supporting the Order is also enclosed for your information.
