fuel oil transfer pump and the day tank.

These strainers and filters, combined with minimal turbulence during storage tank fill, allow realignment of the diesel engines to their respective day tanks without any need for fuel oil settling time.

The sediment and any water which has been collected in the tank can be drained using a 3-in. drain provided on the individual storage tanks.

13 The suitch.ing to a full fuel oil storage tank and the filling of a near-empty fuel oil storage tan]5,is fully described in paragraph 9.5.4.2.1.1 A 4 (Approximately 20%)

f With the above provisions for ensuring that clean fuel oil is idelivered to the diesel engines, the postulated interruption of

! diesel generator operation is not anticipated.

,In addition, plant procedures have been developed and implemented which assure that all manual actions necessary to receive fuel oil have been accomplished and that a settlement time of 24 hours2.777778e-4 days
0.00667 hours
3.968254e-5 weeks
9.132e-6 months
is provided in the filled tank.
