Dear Ms. Katz:
I am acknowledging receipt of your letter dated November 7,1997. Your 8stter documents your concerns over the Partial Director's Decision, dated Octo'ser 8,1997, written in response to the Citizens Awareness Network's 10 CFR 2.206 petition for enforcement action regarding the Vermont Yankee Nucleer Power Station, in your letter you state that the Partial Director's Decision does not address many of the concerns raised in the petition. You reference NRC Inspection Report 97-201, dated August 27,1997, that you believe provides additional information with respect to the petition. Section C of the Partial Director's Decision references that same inspection report in responding to the five actions requested in the original petition and reiterated in your November 7,1997 letter. No new or additional information is provided in your letter that would warrant a reconsideration of the Partial Director's Decision with respect to these specific concerns.
With regard to your three requests concerning the " systemic mismanagement" at Vermont Yankee, these specific items will be treated as a supplement to the original petition and will be addressed in tho Final Disector's Decision, if you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact the petition managor, Mr. Craig Smith, at (301) 415-1427.
