. In response to a verbal request from the NRC staff, Vermont Yankee (VY) hereby affirms that the J

- indicated information in Proposed Change No. 200 has been duplicated in the Technical Requirements Manual (TRM), which was effective on January. 20,.1999. _- No changes have been made to existing

}f mquirements. The TRM is incorporated by reference into the Final Safety Analysis Report. VY looks -

forward to receipt of a Safety Evaluation Report and associated license amendment permitting removel of

the subject information from the plant Technical Specifications.

In addition, please find enclosed the following proposed replacement pages for VYNPS Technical 1 Specifications:

(1) Page 105, which has been included as an update resulting from the approval of Amendment No.164, dated January 5,1999.
.(2) Bases Pages til and lila which were originally submitted wit'i Froposed Change No. 200

' (Reference (a)) without existing Paragraphs 3.5E-H from the typed replacement pages.

No changes have been made to page 105. In addition, proposed Bases page lila has simply had existing -

p ie,. dis 3.5E-H inserted aAer 3.5.D.

'Iherefore, the conclusions of the previously submitted No Significant Hazards Considerations are unaffected.'
