Letter to Document Control Desk (NRC) from Graham (NPPD) dated November 24,1997, " Revision of Commitment Made in Reply to Notice of Violation" Ily letter dated October 14,1997 (Reference 1), responding to a Notice or Violation (Reference 2), Nebraska Public Power District (District) committed to revise Coo.er Nuclear Station Administrative Prc,cedure 0.26, ' Surveillance Program" to climinate redundant procedural requirements contained within Procedure 0.26 and Administrative Procedure 0.5 " Problem Identification and Resolution," conduct additional tailgate training sessions to ensure personnel that perform surveillance testing have been trained to the requirements of Procedure 05, incorporate these training requirements into recuiring training, and train the appropriate personnel on the requirements of revised Procedure 0.26. The above actions were to be completed by November 30,1997. The District, by letter dated November 24,1997 (Reference 3), changed the commitment to revise Procedure 0.26. Due to this commitment change, the District has ins: cad incorporated the requirements of both Procedure 0.26 and Procedure 0.5 into recurring training for personnel that perform surveillance testing. Lesson Plans for this training were approved by November 26,1997. These chanbes to commitments require that the District also extend the completion date for training from November 30,1997, to December 18,1997.
