Frank J. Miraglia, Deputy Executive Director for Regulatory Programs FROM:

William D. Travers D

a Executive Director for Operations

SUBJECT:

COMMENDATION FOR SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE COMMITTEE TO REVIEW GENERIC REQUIREMENTS I would like to thank you for your active participation in and strong support of the activities of the Committee to Review Generic Requirements (CRGR) over the past sovaral years as a member of the Committee. Your expertise in many areas considered by the CRGR in its review of proposed new requirements and significant policy issues, especially those related to NRC's recent move to risk-informed and performance-based regulations, were extremely valuable. In particular, your broad knowledge and sound technical insights have significantly strengthened the important function served by the Committee. I am all the more appreciative of your efforts on the CRGR in view of the significant additional burden imposed by your participation in the Committee's regular meetings as well as various special meetings held to support staff commitments.

Thanks again for a job well done.
