Dear.Mr. Carns:
D Enclosed is a copy of the Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact related to Northeast Nuclear Energy Company's application for exerrption dated October 16, 1997.
The proposed exemption would permit a one-time extension of the test period for the Appendix J, Option A, Type B and Type C tests until containment integrity is required for startup from the current refueling outage.
The assessment is being forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
