BUILDING 39 - SORRENTO VALLEY B (SVB) RELEASE CERTAIN PORTIONS TO UNRESTRICTED USE (TAC NO. L31149)
Dear Dr. Asmussen:
l In accordance with your application dated December 22,1998, and pursuant to Part 70 to l
Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Materials License SNM-696 is hereby amended to release certain portions of Building 39 (SVB) to unrestricted use.
We have reviewed your December 22,1998, request to remove certain portions of Building 39 (SVB) from your license and to release those portions for unrestricted use. Your supported your request with the report entitled, " Final Radiological Surveys Of Selected Portions of Building 39 (SVB) to be Released to Unrestricted Use," dated December 9,1998. Our review i
has determined that there is reasonable assurance that the release of certain portions of Building 39 (SVB) for unrestricted use will not adversely affect public health and safety or the environment.
Accordingly, Safety License Condition S-1 has been revised to include the date of December 22,1998, (SVB).
If, in the future, you desire to use licensed rnatorials and conduct licensed activities in these facilities you must amend your license.
All other conditions of this license shall remain the same.
Enclosed are copies of the Materials License SNM-696 and the Safety Evaluation Report, which includes the Categorical Exclusion determination.
