Dear Mr. Adams:

Effective February 17,1998, the new Interim Reactor Director will be Professor Pertmer and effective February 4,1988, the new Operation Manager will be Mr. Jason Floyd. Both meet the level 2 requirements for suscarch personnel listed in ANSI /ANS-15.4-1988. The remainder of the staff will include the Reactor Technician, Mr. Vincent Adams; and the Electronic Technician, Barry Caudle. This staff, together with the Radiation Facility Director, will ensure that we continue to operate a state of the art Radiation Engineering Research Facility in support of our educational and research objectives.

Dr. Walter Chappas has informed me of his decision to leave the University, effective March 31, 1998, to pursue other opportunities. I have accepted his resignation and wish him the best of luck in his future activities. In the period between now and February 17,1998, Walt has insured me that he will work closely with the Radiation Facilities Director and the newly appointed Interim /
