Section 147 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, requires the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to submit quarterly reports on the nondisclosure of safeguards information. In keeping wit l this requirement, I om pleased to inform you that for the quarter beginning July 1 and extending through September 30,1997, the NRC neither released nor denied to the public any documents containing safeguards information.
