VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT Unit 1 CliANGE TO ALARM SETTING FOR DIGITAL METAL IMPACT MONITORING SYSTEh,1 Per the requirements of the Final Safety Analysis Report a-d Regulatory Guide 1.133,
" Loose Part Detection Program For the Primary System of Light-Water-Cooled Reactors," Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) hereby reports the following change in an alarm setting to the Digital Metal Impact Monitoring System. On December 3, 1997, the Unit 1, channel 756 alert setpoint was changed from 2.5g to 3.4g. This increase in setpoint was due to a 20 mV increase in background noise levels.
