REPORT ON THE STATUS OF THE NEW HAMPSHIRE RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN Pursuant to the request made by the Board at the March 25-26, 1986 prehearing conference, the State of New Hampshire hereby submits its fourth report on the status of the New Hampshire Radiological Emergency Response Plan (hereinafter referred to as the

" State Plan" or "NHRERP").

On June 3, 1986, the New Hampshire Civil Defense Agency submitted Revision 1 of'the New Hampshire Radiological Emergency Response Plan (NHRERF or State Plan) to FEMA. A complete copy of Revision 1 was subsequently served on the Licensing Board and the parties to this proceeding by the Applicants on June 6, 1986. A copy of the KLD Final Report was served on the Board and parties by the Applicant on June 20, 1986.

As FEMA indicated in its June 30, 1986 motion for a

, continuation of the hearing on emergency planning issues, representatives of the State, FEMA, the federal agencien making up the Regional Assistance Committee (RAC), and the Applicant met on 5607090257 860703 ,

June 23-24, 1986 to discuss the RAC's comments on the NIIRERP. On l July 2, 1986.the State submitted to FEMA its formal written response to the comments contained in the FEMA and RAC reviews of the State Plan.

__As FEMA also c.or_rectly,ngted in its June 30 motion, the State fully intends to address all of the remaining items raised by the RAC and make the necessary modific.ations in Revision 2 of the State Plan, to be submitted to FEMA and served on the Board and the parties by August 25, 1986.

Inasmuch as the State's written response to the RAC comments identifies the planned further revisions of the State Plan, it provides a detailed explanation of the focus of the State's planning effort in the next two months. As part of this status report, therefore, I am enclosing herewith a copy of the State's response to the RAC reports on the NHRERP.
