Enclosed is a letter from Transnuclear, Inc., dated June 20, 1986, requesting an amendment to export license XS!!M02169 to increase the quantity of material authorized for export to the Forsmark 2, Forsnark 3, and Ringhals 1 fluclear Power Reactors in Sweden. The intermediate consignee, Reaktor Brennelemente Union, is located in West Germany. Before we can act on this request, letters of assurance are required that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurance letters will be appreciated.
