This letter is in response to your letter dated August 29,1997. Your letter, in part, requested an amendment to the registration certificate for the Model RSS-06 industrial gauging device.
We are in the process of evaluating your request. However, in order to continue our evaluation, the following information is necessary:
1.
Your letter indicates that the Model RSS-08 incorporates a 125 VDC rotary solenoid to operate the shutter rather than the 24 VDC rotary solenold that was described in your initlai application. Please provide detailed specifications for the new solenoid and demonstrate that the new solenoid used to operate the shutter movement will remain
,c operable, including the automatic return spring, during the likely conditions of use and accident conditions.
2.
Your letter indicates that Intergroted Industrial Systems' commitment to the quality assurance prog *am is being strengthened. Please either verify that Intergrated Industrial Systems will manufacture and distribute the Model RSS-06 in accordance with the quality assurance program currently on file with NRC (dated December 1993) or submit for review a copy of the quality assurance program that Intergrated Industrial Systems will implement.
