NRC INTEGRATED INSPECTION REPORT 50-327/97-17 AND 50-328/97-17
Dear Mr. Zeringue:
This refers to the inspection conducted on November 9.1997, through
December 2'
1997, at the Sequoyah facility. The enclosed report presents the
results of this inspection.
During the inspection period, your conduct of activities at the Sequoyah
facility was generally characterized by good operations, maintenance,
engineering and )lant support.
Operations performance was generally good
however, two pro]lems that occurred were related to inadequate clearances.
Maintenance activities were good including inservice inspection however,
weaknesses were found in relief valve )reventive maintenance and diesel
generator performance data trending.
Engineering review of issues was noted
to be good.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter, its enclosure, and your response will be placed in the NRC Public
Document Room (PDR).
