Dear Mr. Wadley:
We have received the enclosed Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) correspondence received December 29,1998 transmitting the FEMA evaluation report for the
(
July 21-22,1998 Emergency Preparedness Exercise at the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Station.
No deficiencies were identified during the exercise. However, one Area Requiring Corrective Action was identified for Pierce County. Four planning issues were identified for Dakota County. Three planning issues were identified for the State of Wisconsin.
We fully recognize that any corrective actions to be implemented may involve parties and political institutions which are not under your direct control. Nonetheless, we expect that assistance, if appropriate, will be extended.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed FEMA correspondence will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
