SUBJECT:
SUMMARY
OF MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 19,1998 BETWEEN THE NRC AND PORTLAND GENERAL ELECTRIC REGARDING LICENSEE PLANS FOR FINAL SITE SURVEYS AT TROJAN On November 19,1998, members of the NRC staff met with representatives from Portland General Electric (PGE) to discuss PGE's preliminary plans for final site radiation surveys at the Trojan Nuclear Plant. A list of the NRC and PGE attendees is included as.
Since PGE has not yet submitted any docketed correspondence on final site surveys, the meeting was informational in nature. PGE representatives described their preliminary plans for the final site radiation surveys for the Trojan site (slides are included as Enclosure 2).
The NRC staff provided the licensee with an updated reference which replaces NUREG 5512. The NRC staff informed the PGE staff that the survey plan needed to be submitted as part of the license termination plan (as required by 10 CFR 50.82) and that the NRC staff could not perform a meri agful review without the remainder of the license termination plan.
