Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Post Eddy Current Inspection Report Following the completion of the Eddy Current Inspection of TMI-1 A and B steam L
generator tubes, Technical Specification 4.19.5a requires a report to be submitted, of the number of tubes repaired or removed from service, within 15 days of the completion of the inspection. Tube plugging was completed on April 18, 1986.
The requisite information for the SM eddy current outage was provided to the NRC on May 2,1986 (Reference 1).
Technical Specification 4.19.5b requires that the complete results of the steam generator tube inservice inspection be reported to the NRC within 3 months following completion of the inspection, including (a) number and extent of tubes inspected, (b) location and percent of wall thickness penetration for r.
each indication of an imperfection; and (c) identification of tubes repaired or removed from service. TDR 781 Rev.1, "Results of Outage SM ECT Examinations of the TMI-1 OTSG's", provides a comprehensive assessment of the SM eddy current inspection results, and addresses the specific reporting requirements of Technical Specification 4.19.5b.

TDR 781 also includes a tabulation of degraded tubes by tube number, indication elevation, signal amplitude, phase angle, and throughwall penetration, and a comparison on a tube by tube basis with the results of the 1984 inspection. This information exceeds the reporting requirements of Technical Specification 4.19.5.b and is provided for Outage SM as requested by NRC's consultant C. Dodd of ORNL during a meeting with the NRC staff on May 15,1986.
