Quality Assurance Program Manual Update Gentlemen:
Pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(a)(3), Waterford 3 is submitting i
Revision 19 of the Quality Assurance Program Manual (QAPM) for your approval.
The submittal includes four (4) separate Quality Assurance (QA) Program Changes.
The changes are deemed to represent reductions of commitments to the QA Program; therefore, NRC approval is necessary prior to implementation. Attachment l
l contains the first change which revises definitions in Chapter 2. Attachme.nt II l
contains the second change which clarifies Chapters 4,7, and 8 regarding
(
independent review of procurement documents, performance of audits and surveillances of safety related suppliers, as well as marking unmarked items, small products and cut materials. These proposed changes are the result of the standardization of the materials, purchasing, and contracts function throughout Entergy Operations, Inc. Attachments Ill and IV contain the remaining two proposed aM
' changes which provide general clarifications on electric motor insulation resistance F
tests as well as storage of new fuel assemblies in the new fuel storage vault or the g
spent fuel pool, respectively.
Each attachment includes the 10 CFR 50.54 change review form along with the affected chapter. All pages for each affected QA program manual chapter are being
. forwarded (instead of only the changed pages) to efficiently account for pagination l
shift. The affected sections are noted with revision bars in the right margin next to
.the changes.
