Operating License No. DPR-73 Docket No. 50-320 Canister Handling and Preparation for Shipment Safety Evaluation Report Attached is a revision to the Safety Evaluation Report (SER) for Canister Handling and Preparation for Shipment (CHAPS). This revision provides additional detail on canister and shield plug lifting systems, canister dewatering, and the railcar jacking systems. It also incorporates a truck bay fire hazards analysis (see Section 6.4), provides clarification of the safety factors for the Fuel Transfer Cask and Mini Hot Cell grapple and hoist, and increases the scope of the heavy load handling section.
This revision amends our previous submittal forwarded by GPU Nuclear letter 4410-86-L-0010 dated February 17, 1986; therefore, an additional application fee is not required.
