CHANGES TO 10 CFR PART 72, EXPAND APPLICABILITY TO INCLUDE CERTIFICATE HOLDERS AND APPLICANTS AND THEIR CONTRACTORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS The Commission has approved the staff's plan-to initiata rulemaking to amend 10 CFR Part 72 to place appropriate Part 72 1
requirements on certificate holders and applicants and their contractors and subcontractors.
However, the staff should consider whether conforming changes to 10 CFR Part 71 are necessary since dual and multi-purpose cask designs are anticipated.
