CHANGES TO THE RIVER BEND EMERGENCY PLAN
Dear Mr. McGaha:
This letter acknowledges receipt of your letter dated December 27,1996, which transmitted Revision 14 to the River Bend Emergency Plan, submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(q). This submittal was discussed with your staff via telephone on January 15, and January 20,1998. During these telephone calls, our comments and questions were satisfactorily addressed. Based on your determination that the changes do not decrease the effectiveness of your emergency plan and that it continues to meet the standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b) and the requirements of Appendix E to 10 CFR Part 50, NRC approvalis not required. Implementation of these changes will be subject to inspection to confirm that they have not decreased the - effectiveness of your emergency plan. ~ In accorUance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
