On December 17,1998, the NRC completed an inspection at your Duane Arnold Energy Center.
nThe enclosed report presents the results of the inspection.

The purpose of the inspection was to review corrective actions for previously identified issues.

. The inspector concluded that your staff was effective in implementing corrective actions for the
l
items reviewed. . For some of the items reviewed, corrective actions were considered excellent.
ll
In addition, the engineering staff was knowledgeable and involved in the corrective action
process.
The inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records,-
observations, and interviews with personnel.
In accordance with '10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Roo
