SUMMARY
The NRC administered initiallicense examinations to five Reactor Operator applicants and eleven Senior Reactor Operator applicants. All applicants passed the examination. The examinations were conducted in anticipation of the licensing of the McClellan AFB TRIGA reactor in 1997.

The written examination was waived for all applicants. The waiver was granted on the basis that each applicant passed a comprehensive written examination as part of the Air Force operator certification program.
- 4. Operating Test:
All applicants passed the operating test. Portions of the operating test were waived on the basis that each applicant passed an operating examination as part of the Air Force operator certification program.
- 5. Exit Meeting:
An exit meeting was held on September 11,1997. Present were:

-The NRC thanked the McClellan Nuclear Radiation Center staff for their cooperation during the examinations. Mr. Eresian expressed some generic concerns regarding operator knowledge in the area of radiation monitosing.
