ANNUAL COMMISSION BRIEFING ON THE INTEGRATED MATERIALS PERFORMANCE EVALUATION PROGRAM (IMPEP)

The staff provided the Commission with results of the pilot Integrated Materials Performance Evaluation Program (IMPEP) in SECY 95-047, dated I%bruary 28,1995 and briefed the Commission in March 1995, in SECY 96-234, dated November 12,1096, the staff provided the Commission wit' a status report on the hrst year implementation of IMPEP and briefed the Commission in January 1997. With the maturing of the IMPEP program, the staff recommends that annual briefings to the Commission on routine implementation of the program be discontinued.

The Organization of Agreement States (OAS) has requested to brief the Commission in the

- spring. As a part of the OAS briefing to the Commission, the staff will provide the Commission with a report of the adequacy and compatibility of each Agreement State program and inform.
