Commonwealth Edison Company (Comed, the licensee) submitted a change to Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-29 and DPR-30, Appendix A -

l This change clearly reiterates statements from the UFSAR that the Reactor Core isolation
. Cooling system (RCIC) provides cooling water to the core to a postulated isolated reactor with the loss of the feedwater system. The RCIC system can be manually started as well as being automatically initiated upon a reactor vessel low-low water level signal in a one-out-of-two taken

twice logic scheme.
l These changes provide clarity to Bases Sections 3/4.2.D and 3/4.5.D and consistency with the l
UFSAR. The staff has no objections to this Bases change.
