1997 Annual Report on Safety Relief Challenges for the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Gentlemen:
This represents the 1997 Annual Report on Safety Relief Challenger for the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS) as required by the TMI Action Plan, item II. K.3, and by PBAPS Technical Requirvment Manual Appendix A ltem 5.0 R17. During 1997 there was one automatic actuation of a Main Steam Relief valve (MSRV) and no automatic actuations of the Main Steam Safety Valves in response to h:gh reactor pressure. The MSRV ac:uation occurred during the IJnit 2 SCRAM on November 9,1997. The MSRV operated as designed and lifted within its Tect.nical Specification pressure band.
