The information is as initially received without verification or evaluation, and is basically all that is known by the Region I staff on this date.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA At about 11:30 a.m., June 5,1986, during a routine search of a contractor's vehicle, two 35m photographic film containers were found in a lunch box. The driver of the vehicle stated that another of the contractor's' employees had asked if he could place the lunch box on the truck bed before the driver approached the plant entrance. This was confirmed by the licensee.
A field test on the contents of one container determined that it contained marijuana.
The other contained an unknown substance in pill form. The owner of the lunch box was held and turned over to local. law enforcement officials. The pills are being analyzed by local authorities. The contractor employee had unescorted access to protected and vital areas. The licensee is conducting an investigation into the matter.
The NRC was notified at about 1:30 p.m. on June 5.
The NRC's IAT and the State of New Jersey have been informed.
