Subject:
PROTEST AT THE TM1 NORTH AND SOUTH GATES At approximately 10:00 AM, on May 18, 1933, seven demonstrators at the TM1 Nuclear 4Wer Station North Gate and three demonstrators at the TM! South Gate positioned themselves with a long banner at each gates to block access to the Island.
They are apparently protesting issues related to the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision on the
- tycholcgical stress.
The licensee has closed both accesses to the site.
The licensee is seeking a court injunction against the demonstrators.
In addition, GPUN has asked fer assistance from Pennsylvania State Police to remove the protesters from company troperty.
Pennsylvania State Police arrived at 10:30 AM and at 11:30 AM began to make arrests.
Media interest has occurred and local TV station crews are present at both gates. The licensee is in the process of issuing a press release at this time.
