f This is in response to your 12/3 e-mail and the one below. Gerry Klingler informs me that the Agreement States are already on distribution to receive a copy of the updated IMC 1246. Given that, we could orchestrate sending out an OSP All A/S letter during the issuance timeframe highlighting those areas concerning training requirements that will affect the States. BTW, will there be other changes to IMC 1246 besides those dealing with decommissioning?
We can also note this on the 1/20/98 NRCIOAS teleconference.

- The response to a Green Ticket to inform the States of changes to IMC 1246 is due on 12 Dec. I sent you a copy of the changes last week. There is a related Ticket on establishing qualifications for inspectors / reviewers of "non-complex" sites, to which the response is that NRC will not. A copy of the draft response - concurrence through Section - is attached.
Because the December telecon is cancelled, my I use the transmittal to you as having met the intent of informing hte States, for purposes of closing the Tickets?

In the interim, please feel free to forward to me any proposed agenda items for the January call and also inform me whether you plan to participate in the call.
