RESPONSE TO NRC BULLETIN 97-02
Dear Sir:
In response to Reference (b), the following information is provided. Yankee Atomic Electric Company (YAEC) is holder of two Certificates of Compliance: (1) for shipment of the Steam i
Genemtor packages (No. 9256) and (2) for shipment of the Reactor Vess-1 package (No. 9262).
Both of these certificates authorized one-time shipments of the individual packages from the site to the disposal facility. Since both the steam generators and the reactor vessel have been shipped and disposed of at the burial facility at Barnwell, S.C., these certificates am no longer necessary and may be terminated.
No further response to the Bulletin is necessary, and YAEC requests that Certificates of Compliance No. 9256 and 9262 be terminated. We trust this information is satisfactory; however, if you have any questions, please contact us.
