Dear Ms. Dedik:
Enclosed is an application for an export license (XSNM03021), recently receivec by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for the export of low-enriched uranium, in the form of uranium hexafluoride (UF6), to South Korea for use as reload fuel in Kori Units 2 and 4 and Yong Kwang Units 3 and 4.
Assurances from Korea are required that the niaterial will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation.
Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.
Please note that a portion of the material is of Australian and Canadian
- origin,
