Enclosed is an application for an export license (XSNM03020), recently received by the Nuclear Regulatory Commissicn. for the export of low enriched urania, in the form of uranium dioxide (00 ), to Japan for use as reload fuel 2
in Takahama Unit 1. Ohi Unit 4 and Mihama linit 2.
Assurances from Japan are required that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.
Please note that a portion of the material is of Australian origin.
