NRC Generic Letter 97-04, " Assurance of Sufficient Net Positive Suction Head for Emergency Core Cooling and Containment Heat Removal Pu.nps," was issued on October 7, 1997 (OCNA109702). The generic letter requested a 30 dey response which indicates whether or not the requested information will be submitted, and whether or not the information will be submitted within the requested time period. Entergy Operations plans to submit the requested information within the specified time period (i.e., within 90 days from the date of the generic letter) for Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2.
