The purpose of this modification is to (1') dIc~rease the ceiling of the contract by $29,439.00 from

$1,332,062.00 to $1,302,623.00 to accommodate a deductive within-scope change to reflect a change in NRC requirements in accordance with the contract statement of work as modified by the attached, and the Contractor's technical proposal dated December 3,1998, hereby incorporated, and (2) extend the period of performance for three additional months to accommodate response to NRC review cornments from a November 12,1998, presentation and to incorporate the resultant information into the final report. The delay in completion of the Subtask 2C report was not attributable to Contractor perfermance, and extension of the period of performance is in the best interest of the NRC and the Contractor. Accordingly, the contract is modified as follows:

Under Section B.3, " Consideration and Obligation - Cost Plus Fixed Fee," paragraphs a is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following in lieu thereof:

"a.

The total estimated cost to the Government for full performance of this contract is

$1,302,623.00 of which the sum of $1,229,159.00 represents the estimated reimbursable costs and of which $73,464.00 represents the fixed fee."

Section F.6, " Duration of Contract Period (MAR 1987), Alternate 2 (MAR 1987),"is hereby deleted in its entirety and substituted with the following:

"This contract shall commence on 11/13/95 and will expire on 03/31/99."

A summary of obligations for this contract, from award date through the date of this action, is given below:

Reduce workscope of Task 2.1; ALWR Data Analysis.

No additional work needs to be performed for this task. A final report for this task is eliminated.

2.

Eliminate Task 2-3, Technical Support fer Data Analyses Tool Development.

No additional work should be performed for this task. This task can be handled more appropriately as part of the projects established for consolidating the thermal hydraulic codes.
