LICENSED OPERATOR REQUALIFICATION TRAINING PROGRAM
EVALUATION
Dear Mr. Kingsley:
On December 2,1997, the NRC completed an inspection at your Quad Cities Nuclear Power
Station. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
The purpose of the inspection was to assess the licenseo operator requalification program. The
Inspection consisted of reviews of training administrative procedures, requt"rication training
attendance records, and requalification training materials. The inspection induded observation
of certified evaluators and licensed operators during administration of the requalification
i
examination and observation of the conduct of control room activities. Additionally, interviews
were conducted with members of the operations and training staffs.
It was determined the licenser wrator requalification program was being implemented in
accordance with 10 CFR Fan 50 requirements. The inspectors determined that adequate
training was being provided for your licensed operators to operate the Quad Cities Nuclear

Power Station. The inspectors noted that control room operators conducted normal operations
In a professional manner arid gave appropriate attention to instruments and controls.
