The Division of Waste Management and the Uraniun Recovery Fielo Office have

; reviewed the current rcgulatory guide effort for uranium recovery operations.

V To help your office focus on the guides that are needed most urgently, we have developed a priority list. The priorities are broken into three basic categories.

1. Critical guides that should be aggressively completed.
2. Needed guides that should be in an active status.
3. Longer tern needed guides that can be scheduled as resources become available.

Fnclosed are the uranium recovery prioritized guides, their current status, and requested changes to the current situation.

The DWM and the URF0 would appreciate your office striving to develop our

, ^3 priority I guides in as timely a n.anner possible consistent with your office requirements. Please advise us promptly as to the extent you can accomodate our needs, as reflected by the enclosure.

Please evaluate and provide comments on them. Background information was transmitted to you on 1/30/85 and may be of some assistance in your reviews. Please keep your comments on the EA and the RAP separate to the degree that you can. We intend to provide DOE with comments on these documents in two separate categories: (1) adequacy in meeting the intent of NEPA, and (2) adequacy in satisfying the EPA, standards.
