SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-482/97-17
Dear Mr. Maynard:

An NRC inspection was conducted Septemkr 29 through October 10,1997, at your Wolf
- Creek Generating Station reactor facility. Ti. . enclosed report presents the scope and
results of that inspection.
This inspection consisted of maintenance planning reviews, observations of nondestructive
exominations, documentation reviews, inspection followup, and' discussions with plant
personnel associated with these activities.

in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter
and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
