The Chairman's office has referred your letter of December 13,1997, to me for response, in your letter you repeated the key points discussed during a November 14,1997, meeting with Chairman Jackson and again mquestsd the Chairman to visit the Millstone area. I am aware that the Chairman found the meeting beneficial and generally agreed with the importance of ensuring that the public trust is regained. Also, the Chairman is ten'ativcly planning a visit to the Millstone site jn early February. It is my understanding that Chairman Jackson is also planning to meet with the media and members cf the public.
It was a pleasure seeing you on November 14 and I lock forward to our continued interactions.
