(603) 474-9Tct The Northeast Utilities Systern January 12,1998 Docket No. 50-443 NYN-98002 AR# 97020066 AR#97019225 United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attention: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555 Seabrook Station Clarification of a Commitment in a Reply to a Not;c-of Violation in a letter dated August 29,1997 (NYN-97095), North Atlantic Energy Service Corporation (North Atlantic) responded to Notice of Violation 97-03-02 that was described in NRC Inspection Report 50-443/97-03. This reply stated that a performance monitoring system that will provide real time indication of the effectiveness of the corrective action program would be in place by the end of 1997. Due to delays in mainframe computer programming necessary to implement this system, the real time indication system will not be available until mid-1998.
