EXAMINATION REPORT NO.' 50 334/9710(OL)
Dear Mr. Cross:
This report transmits the fir. dings of the senior reactor operator (SRO) licensing
examinations conducte.d by NRC examiners during the week of December 1'i- 18,1997 at
the Beaver Valley Unit 1 Nuclear Power Plant. Based on the results of the examinations,
all SRO applicants passed all portions of the examinations. At the conclusion of the,-

examination, Mr. P. Bissett discussed the preliminary findings with other members of your
staff. -
These examinations addressed areas important to public health and safety and were
<
developed and administered under iriterim Revision 8 to the Examiner Standards (NUREG-
1021) For this particular examination, Beaver Valley Power Station (BVPS) personnel
developed all segments of the examination, while the NRC provided oversight and final-
approval prior to the administration of the examination. BVPS training personnel
subsequently administered the IJRC approved written examination, while the operating
portion of the examination was administered by the NRC.
'In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter
and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
